All St. Local teens are invited to connect at the library as St. Teens are encouraged to celebrate Teen Tech Week for the entire month of March.
The purpose of the camp is to help get young people excited about technology while they are still considering their future career opportunities — perhaps they will choose IT as a career path after participating in the camp!! The camp is targeted at twelve to fifteen year olds and exposes kids to various careers in IT as well as introduces them to emerging technologies. Campers who are selected pay nothing to attend.
Teen Tech Week begins on the first Sunday in March for the entire week. It is aimed at teens, their parents, educators and other concerned adults. Millions of teens do not have access to a home computer and, were it not for libraries, teens, and their families would miss opportunities to gain valuable digital literacy skills.

Teen Tech Week promotes digital resources within libraries across the country that are available for teens and their families. If the current years specific theme does not speak to you or your library you can always use the general theme instead. The most important thing about Teen Tech Week is that teens are being encouraged to come out and visit their local library and learn about all of the different technical and digital tools that are available to them. This year's theme was DIY your library.
